It’s the second season-ending injury for Crawford, who tore his ACL back in the summer of 2015.Friday, Crawford took to Twitter to thank his coaches and teammates for being supportive of him during the tough time. He noted that he had successful surgery earlier this week.“When going through tough times you look for people to lean on. Here at Notre Dame, after my SUCCESSFUL surgery, I didn’t need to look far. Family, coaches, teammates, and friends all showed love visiting me after surgery. This injury won’t define me, it will only make me stronger and a better person on and off the field. My faith won’t fail me now, it will only grow stronger because I know God has something special in store for me!! In the mean time, I’m cheering on Team12! #GoIRISH #20.”Here’s the tweet Crawford sent out:Go Irish!!☘ #ReturnOf20 pic.twitter.com/CR8tKzmENi— Crawf (@Shaun20Crawford) September 16, 2016Suffering one season-ending injury is a lot to handle mentally. Suffering them in back-to-back seasons is really tough. It’s great to see that Crawford has the support system he needs.
