Based on nominations from readers and curated with the help of panel of industry experts, the list sets out to celebrate female digital talent.Sign up for the weekly Limerick Post newsletter Sign Up Eimear, who is a native of Raheen, was educated at Crescent College Comprehensive before graduating from the University of Limerick in 2015.Growing up in the target demographic of most major social platforms, she sensed an opportunity to turn her innate understanding of social media into a business proposition. After initially freelancing for brands and finding steady business, she took the leap of faith by opening her own agency in 2017, founding Digital Works with an office in Limerick and, latterly, in London.Digital Works’ three full-time staff supports small businesses by helping them understand and access social media channels in a cost-effective way. Its clients include award-winning beauty brand, Skinny Tan, fashion house Julien McDonald, retailer fab.com and funding solution Swoop.Describing her inclusion on the ’50 under 30′ list as both rewarding and motivating, Eimear said that this was particularly significant given the fact that Digital Works is less than a year old.“It’s really exciting to represent Ireland, and of course Limerick, particularly given the standard of talent included. This list not only showcases women but also those under 30 which is incredibly satisfying and starts the conversation that age and acumen are not co-related.“At 25, I am of the youngest women on the list but I’ve never allowed being young, or being a woman, to define my potential. Interestingly, if people know my age before they meet me, their respect for me can go down. When they find out my age after they meet me, they respect me more which is really interesting.“I’ve often gone into meetings with one of my colleagues who is older than me and because he looks older they think he’s the boss.“Our work sees us helping SMEs access the world of social media in the most effective way to bring about real, positive change for a business. I have recruited an exceptionally talented team and our client list and growth over the last ten months is a testament to our shared vision. As the business grows, we look forward to increasing our footprint here in Ireland and supporting homegrown businesses reach their full digital potential,” she concluded.Details at digitalworksagency.com or search @digitalworksnow on social media.by tom [email protected] Advertisement TAGSawardbusinessDigital WorksNews Linkedin Email Twittercenter_img Previous articleLimerick strongman outmuscles his UK rivalsNext articleLotsa luck for Limerick family Staff Reporterhttp://www.limerickpost.ie RELATED ARTICLESMORE FROM AUTHOR Facebook TechPost | Episode 9 | Pay with Google, WAZE – the new Google Maps? and Speak don’t Type! Exponential technology to reshape financial industry

first_imgI recently had the pleasure of giving the opening remarks at the 2015 TMG Executive Summit. This year’s summit, which focused on key industry topics including cyber security, innovation and the future of payments, was held July 27-29 in Vancouver, Canada. In my opening remarks, I explored the question: What will it take to thrive in the future? Before an audience of financial institution (FI) leaders, I worked to expand minds wider and broader than ever to the potential of exponential technology by offering a glimpse into the possibilities of innovation in the financial sector.Exponential technology takes many forms. Here are a few with the greatest potential to drive innovation within our industry.Artificial Intelligence (AI)AI replicates processes seen only in the human brain – except it does so with infinitely more processing power.
