The successfulcandidate will have the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center inMorgantown, West Virginia as the primary practice site. Thisposition will also practice and provide coverage at all WVU CancerInstitute satellite locations and WVU Medicine Health Systemlocations as needed. Work sites include but are not limited to WestVirginia University Hospitals, Inc., West Virginia UniversityMedical Corporation dba ‘University Health Associates’, etc.,locate din WV, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, Virginia,and as such travel is anticipated and expected to fulfill saidduties at these other sites. Enrollment of patients in clinical andtranslational research is a core institutional value supported byan excellent cancer clinical trials unit.Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the areas ofhematology/oncology. This position requires travel to satellitelocations, clinics, and affiliates to assist withhematology/oncology coverage to provide consistent, high-qualitypatient care. In addition, the successful candidate will also beactively involved in the teaching of medical students, residents,and fellows. For appointment at the Associate Professor orProfessor rank, a demonstrated track-record of leadership,excellent communication skills, and publications in high-impactjournals are required.Qualifications: Applicants must have an MD or DO degree (theemployer accepts foreign educational equivalent) and be eligible toobtain a West Virginia medical license. Candidates must havecompleted an accredited internal medicine residency andhematology/oncology fellowship and be board eligible or boardcertified in hematology and/or oncology at the time of appointment.Faculty rank and salary will be commensurate withcredentials.The WVU Cancer Institute is one of the country’s premier cancertreatment centers.
