In the individual category, Brazil doubled up, with Petty Officer Second Class Marcus Fernandes winning first place, with 01:53:10, and Petty Officer Second Class Juraci Moreira winning second, with a time of 01:54:55. On September 4, the Brazilian military triathlon team finished in first place at the Triathlon World Championship competition of the International Military Sports Council (CISM) in Knokke, Belgium.
